New to ECF - just starting treatment

Hello everyone!! my name is Heather & i am 28 years old. I am new to this site. I was looking for an hour online for a support site & i decided that i would try this site out. Im 28 years old & have Hypothyroidism & PCOS. I do NOT ovulate. My husband & i are looking forward to starting a family & i find that as i am going along with this process it REALLY is frustrating, stressful & everything else in between! I had my consult & then blood work & an internal sono. followed by 2 more bloodwork visits, Then had my period & just had an HSG done Friday. All my tubes are good & clear & they didn't see any scar tissue from past D&C or Hysteroscopy. Now waiting to go back to DR on 7/16 to then take progesterone (since there is NO WAY by a MIRACLE that i will get my period as supposed to since Hypothyroid & PCOS have blessed me with such irregularity) then will start taking Clomid & hopefully have a successful IUI. But as i have read that i prob shouldn't get my hopes up on it working the first time. It seems like alot of stories i've read there is alot of failures with IUI 1st try. I keep telling myself to try to stay positive & have faith. I would LOVE to hear from others who are going through the same. Im sorry I have no input to share with you as my husband and I have different
fertility problems, BUT I want to say GOOD LUCK and to Stay positive. I am starting my second IVF cycle as soon as I get my period. Of course its the first time my periods has been late in about 10 years, but things will happen when its time. I do have a friend who did get pregnant using IUI with SEVERE PCOS! Fertility specialists have come so far that Im positive that East Coast can help you!

Wanted to wish you the best of luck moving forward. I know 2 people who are pregnant through ART with pcos. I also have hypothyroid. My cycle was just postponed b/c tsh was too high:( have to wait till august now to start again:(
btw, it can work the first time. I did ivf (i have no tubes) and it worked first time. however, i m/c at seven weeks:(
Wanted to also recommend acupuncture b/c it's helped a lot of my friends w/ pcos. My acupuncturist is amazing and cheap!!!! $75 for first session and $35 each additional session. i go 3x a week and now have 12 follicles!!!! I started with 4-6!!! Hopefully they will still be there by the time my next cycle starts!
