iui and after affects

Hello-
I just had a first Natural IUI, during there was cramping, after i had weird numbness in my arms, cramps into my back and hot flashes, as well as low grade fever, has this ever been heard of? I couldnt get comortable for hours pain was very bad then there was spotting.
as well as it was timed right after ovulation w/ low sperm counts on my husband, does that all mean it may not work?

that is very unusual. it could be a reaction to the semen in your uterus causing a prostaglandin reaction. Rarely an ovulation itself can cause like symptoms.
