Default Decision Time...

Hi, I have been trying to get pregnant for about three years now and I am 31 yrs old. I have been through 3 IUI's (1 natural, 2 on clomid treatments) and 2 invitros - all unsuccessful. My husband is ok per the urologist - morphology is abit off but nothing ICSI can't help with. Prior to me trying for a third invitro cycle, i decided to go for an "exploratory" only to find out that my problem since I was 14 years old, has been that I have had endometriosis all this time and it was really bad where it traveled to the liver and stomach. I also had 10lesions that were removed. I went for the surgery and my obgyn cleaned out as much as he could and then put me on Lupron Depot for 6 months. I am now at the point where I would like to proceed with my options with East coast...In the last two cycles of invitro - i pulled the following: 13 mature eggs pulled, 8 fertilized, none leftover and the 2nd one - 20 mature eggs pulled, 15 fertilized and 1 leftover. My questions are - could the poor quality of my eggs be due to the endometriosis that was found? Also can endometriosis produce a chemical? I'm thinking about the 1 left over from the ivf cycle that was done - should I transfer or should i just get rid of it due to the endometriosis? Wouldn't that have had an impact on the emrbyo? i guess I want to come out and just ask - is it still good? Perhaps go with a mini ivf cycle? I don't mean to sound paranoid...my gut is telling me that if that little guy survives the thaw as well as implantation, it would be strong and good either way! ; )

This is not an uncommon scenario for a subset of patients who do not seem to do well with initial IVFs. It is not always associated with endometriosis and certainly many patients with endometriosis do quite well. Some patients with a history of having poor quality eggs or embryos in previous cycles will conceive in a subsequent cycle. There are numerous factors to consider that go beyond my ability to give you a clear answer without examining in detail your history closely and perhaps doing an exam. I apologize but without seeing you personally i am going to punt on this.
